Jomar O. Besorio is a Licensed Professional Teacher, Certified Human Resource Associate, and academic leader currently serving as the Program Chair of the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship under the College of Public Administration and Management (CPAM) at Western Philippines University. He is presently pursuing a Doctor in Business Administration while holding a Master in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Operations Management. His professional background spans both secondary and higher education, with 6.5 years of experience as a Senior High School Teacher II under the Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) strand in the Department of Education, and 5 years as a college instructor in a private higher education institution, along with his current tenure at Western Philippines University. He previously served as the College Extension Coordinator of CPAM, demonstrating his strong commitment to community engagement and academic extension programs.
In the academic setting, he teaches courses such as Entrepreneurial Mind and Accounting for Non-Accountants with MS Excel Application, where he integrates practical, outcomes-based, and industry-relevant approaches into his instruction. As Program Chair, he plays a key role in curriculum development, faculty coordination, and the continuous improvement of the BS Entrepreneurship program, ensuring alignment with industry standards and institutional goals.
His academe expertise centers on entrepreneurship education, operations management, and applied accounting, with a strong emphasis on outcomes-based education, curriculum innovation, and program leadership. He is committed to producing industry-ready graduates, strengthening extension initiatives, and advancing the quality and relevance of entrepreneurship education within the university.
