Maria Leah C Lopez

Maria Leah C. Lopez is a business educator, researcher, and practitioner with experience in both industry and academe. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration, and holds a Master of Arts in Management (2006) and a Bachelor of Business Administration major in Economics (2003). She previously worked as a Sales, Marketing, and Accounting Staff and later as a Market Researcher (2006–2009), where she handled feasibility studies, project development, and business analysis. She is also a boarding house business owner (2017–present), giving her practical experience in managing operations and finances.

In the academic field, she currently teaches at Western Philippines University (2024–present), handling courses such as Business Plan Preparation, Microeconomics, Market Research, Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, and Marketing. She also served as a College Instructor (2010–2013), teaching entrepreneurship and management subjects.

Her research interests include MSMEs, Artificial Intelligence, Financial Securities, Social Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability, which she integrates into her teaching to develop students’ analytical and entrepreneurial skills.
