Monina Equiña

Faculty

Monina Agnes Equina is an Associate Professor IV and a seasoned educator with a strong background in business administration, management, and academic research. She holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration major in Management, which have equipped her with a solid foundation in both theoretical and applied business practices. With years of experience in higher education, she has developed expertise in teaching management-related subjects and guiding students in their academic and professional development.

In the academic setting, she teaches various management courses and serves as an Adviser for implementation and practicum programs, playing a key role in preparing students for real-world industry exposure. Her commitment to student development is reflected in her active involvement in mentoring and supervising students during their on-the-job training and internship experiences.

She is also actively engaged in research, with several published studies indexed in Google Scholar, including works such as “Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Students’ Performance in their On-the-Job Training for Academic Year 2019–2020” and “Typology of Tourist Inbound: Motivation and Satisfaction in Visiting Puerto Princesa City, Philippines (2022)”, which contribute to the fields of education, tourism, and management.

Beyond teaching and research, Prof. Equina is an active member of the academic community, serving as a Member of the Academic Council of Western Philippines University and a Council Member of WPU RIDE, where she contributes to institutional development, academic governance, and research initiatives. Her dedication to teaching, research, and service highlights her commitment to advancing quality education and fostering student success.
